In September of 1985, the first Americans attempted and successfully completed the climbing of the six “classic north faces of the Alps” in a single season.

Athletes were outfitted by The North Face and field testing the newly developed “Alpine Kit” in the most brutal of conditions. The iconic 1986 Mountain Jacket would release soon after.
